During summer vacation students will be given different options to study at University of Cambridge as follows:

Option A: Interdisciplinary Summer School

• Term I begins on July 9th ends on August 3rd and Term II begins on August 5th ends on August 18th;
• The two terms are independent, students may enrol for either or both;
• Ideal for the students who choose to study two or three courses and attend classroom sessions and daily plenary lectures on a range of topics;
• Courses covering a wide variety of subjects, including archaeology, politics, philosophy, economics, literature, history and international relations.

Date: Term I: 9 July to 3 August & Term II: 5 August to 18 August

Option B: Specialist Summer School

• Duration upto 8 weeks; starting July 8th;
• For students who are looking for in-depth study of a particular subject;
• During first 6 weeks, Specialist programmes in Ancient Empires, Literature, History, Science, Shakespeare and Medieval Studies are offered;
• Students can combine different programmes in order to build an individual schedule that meets their needs and interests;
• During Week 8 Silk Route Program is conducted during which expert lectures and visits covering topics such as history, military domination, archaeology, trade, travel, art and architecture are shared by all participants.

Option C: English for Academic Purposes (EAP)

This programme is for the students whose second language is English; already proficient in English who wish to develop their language skills further. The minimum requirement for admission to this programme is IELTS 6 band with no less than 6

Date: 22nd July – 18th August

Option D: IELTS Preparation Course:

A 3 weeks IELTS preparation course taught at the University’s language centre. It is aimed at students who already hold an overall IELTS band score of between 5.5 to 6 bands and who wish to upgrade their score to gain admission in a British University.

Date: 8th July to 29th July
