Education System: 12+4+2

After 12th a student can go for 4 years of Bachelor degree
After completion of 3 years Bachelor Degree student pursues 1 year Graduate Diploma Degree.
After completion of 4 years Bachelors Degree student pursues 1 year of Postgraduate Diploma or 2 years of Master Degree.

After completion of 1 year Graduate Diploma Degree a student can opt for 1 year Postgraduate Diploma or 2 years of Master Degree. Most of the Master degree courses in Canada are research based.

English Language Skill

To be eligible for admission, you must meet the admission requirements. Students with a first language other than English will be required to appear for TOEFL or IELTS exams.
Diploma: 6.0 Bands
Postgraduate or Master Degree: 6.5 Bands
Master Degree: 7.0 Bands
Some Universities required GRE/GMAT for Master Degree.

Expenses (Approximate):

Canada has developed a first rate education system with high standards. Studying in Canada is not free, but it is affordable. The average cost for an international student as under:
Level of Courses (Approximate Tuition Fees Per Year)
Diploma: $10,000 to $12000
Bachelor: $12,000 to $15,000
Postgraduate:$15,000 to $17,000
Master: $17,000 to $20,000

Living and Food expenses for one year (Approximate):

Estimated living and food expenses for main applicant is $ 12,000 for spouse $ 8,000 and for each child $ 5,000.
Note: If a child is above 5 years then one need to show 8,000 $ for the study of each child.

Courses offered:

To build up a prosperous career of students courses are offered the fields like Accounting, Economics, Applied Health Science, HRM, International Business, Finance, Fine Arts, Computer Science, Chemistry, Tourism Management, Technical Communication, Nursing, Marketing, Animation, Administration, Biotechnology, etc…

Working during Study:

In general with study student can work part time i.e. 20 hours per week. During vacation student can work full time. Dependants of students are allowed to work fulltime/part time after getting necessary permission to work in Canada.

Work After study:

Student needs to study at least 2 years to be eligible for 3 years open work permit. If the course duration is less than 2 years, then students get work permit equal to their course duration. For example: If a student pursue 1 year course then he/she gets 1 year open work permit.


Student Partnership Program (SPP):

Government of Canada has designed and implemented Student Partnership Program for Indian Student to expedite the student visa process and deliver higher approval rates while maintaining program integrity. Few highlights of the student partnership program are as below:

Ø Only few Canadian institutes are part of SPP Program.k permitent
Ø Minimum score of 5.5 bands in IELTS required for Visa, though 6 bands will be recommended.
Ø Student needs to pay 1st year full fees in advance
Ø 80% of Tuition + Living + Food expenses have to be shown in the form of Educational loan from recognized banks only
Ø If the student is not getting the required bands than they might be offered English Course such students don’t fall under SPP program.
Ø No Income Tax papers will be required.
Ø If the visa officer wants to verify the financial stability of the student he may ask for additional liquid funds in addition to the bank loan letter.

Immigration:

To eligible for Canada PR, total 67 points are required. As per point based system Age, Education, Work Experience, English Language Skill, Spouse Education and many other factors are considered to calculate points for Canada Immigration.
